What is CNC Routing?A CNC (Computer Numeric Control) Router is a tool used for cutting and carving in a variety of materials including solid wood, wood composites, plastics and soft metals. It consists of a precision spindle that can be fitted with a variety of rotary cutting tools and is moved in 3 dimensions by instructions sent from a personal computer. All cutting paths originate from a CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) file that has been "toolpathed" in CAM (Computer Aided Machining) software.
Capabilities and CostCNC Routing is usually a cost effective way of producing a single part, but is even more economical when copies of the same part are made. We are capable of turning out simple flat cut shapes such as letters, v-carved engravings or 3D Relief Carvings . It is also the perfect tool for Signmaking. Design drafting and toolpathing is charged out at the current design rate of $36.00/hr. The actual machining time is charged out at the very economical machine rate of $68.00/hr. The clock starts when the machine starts cutting. Having an already prepared CAD drawing file of your project can save you money in design time. We can use AutoCAD(tm) files or any of the common file types put out by many freeware/shareware CAD programs. You can email us your file for convenience, try to attach it as a DXF file if possible. http://www.cadstd.com/lite.html http://www.cadwaresoft.com/eng/html/bc10install.html http://www.deltacad.com/demo.html http://www.progesoft.com/?page=demo_dwn
